linking into toc - # always used as edit signal?

Hi, I'm a new tikiwiki user but use wikis already quite some time. Like it very much so far but there seems to be a problem (or am I missing something) with linking into toc items?
I have a page called ... "page" and I have several items at this page marked with !. Now I use and this generates links like page#item1, page#item2 etc.
I tried to use those for linking in other wiki pages like ((page#item1) - but it translates always the # into %23 and if I force non-parsing with ~np~ it still tries to create a new page called page#item1 instead of just doing a link.
Is that a bug? Is there any way to get arround this problem without being forced to make many sub pages?

It works for both. If you want to link to anchor on a different wiki page, use the pagename, as illustrated in the docs.

The page you referenced is old (as noted by its "MOVED" notice). Please refer to the doc page instead.
