Auto Save error: Not Found

Can anyone tell me why I've started getting this error when editing wiki pages?
I can ignore the error and save the edit successfully, but this pops up periodically as it tries to autosave, orif I try to preview (which is not successful).

Sounds like there's a file not found. How did you install Tiki? If you FTPed files to your webhost, can you confirm that all files were successfully transfered?

Can you inlcude some additional information that would help in troubleshooting...

  • Which Tiki version are you using?
  • Which editing mode are you using (wiki, WYSIWYG)?

Have you always received this error, or did this start only recently? If it is new, what did you recently change that started the problem?

Are you able to duplicate the problem on demot.tik.org?

Thanks for the reply.

I don't know why I always forget to do this...

I am using 12.3 svn.

That also answers the question about how it was installed.

My default is set to WYSIWYG, but if I create a new page and immediately switch to wiki mode, I get the same error.

Unfortunately, I cannot say with 100% certainty if this was after an upgrade or not.  I've just been living with it for a long while, but now I want to fix it.  Something tells me it did NOT appear immediately after an upgrade however, which is why I did not focus on the "not found" portion.

However, when I get home I'll download the source from my server and from sourceforge and use a diff tool.

It did not occur to me until just now to look at the server error log for clues.  But I do not have access to them from my office, so that will have to wait until this evening.

Today I created a new installation using svn.

My original installation is

     mydomain.com\home

The new installation is

     mydomain.com\12_3

When I previewed a wiki page edit on mydomain.com\12_3 it worked perfectly.

I copied over the tables from mydomain.com\home to mydomain.com\12_3 so that they look the same.

Again I previewed a wiki page edit on mydomain.com\12_3 it worked perfectly.

I tried to rename mydomain.com\home  to mydomain.com\old and  mydomain.com\12_3  to mydomain.com\home.

Now when I preview a wiki page edit on mydomain.com\home  I get the same error message.

Is there something wrong with the renaming of the folders in order to make my new installation the "production" one?

The problem has somehow disappeared.  I do not recall taking any action whatsoever, including clearing the caches.  Perhaps I just don't remember doing it.

I am perplexed, but no less relieved to have the preview back!
