    Hi,
    I have been using Galaxia at my company for a few months now. I found and fixed several problems, and would like to give back to the project. So I made my patches available at http://savefile.com/projects.php?pid=420840

    Georger you are a saint! I thought I had most of the bugs flushed out when I upgraded to 1.9.2 but that wasn't the case. I hope that these get folded in so that next time won't be so painful.

    Hi Georger,

    Can you share your experience in the application of Galaxia?? I'm still figuring out what can I use Galaxia for....sadSadly the documentation did not really help much for me to understand its application.

    Hmm,
    Galaxia is a workflow engine. Every time you have a procedure that must go through several steps, and through the hands of several people, this given procedure is a candidate for being modeled as a process in Galaxia.
    I work at a car manufacturer. When Engineering wants to modify something in a car, other areas must be involved (Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc), several documents must be created, etc. So it is particularly useful to know at which point is a given modification - have all documents been produced? Has the modification been thoroughly tested? If we're changing a particular part, do we have the old part still in stock? If yes, let's sell it, and stop buying it. And so on.
    We have an internal software engineering process. When we introduce a new version, we ask: was it tested? Documented? Does it break other apps? Did the user receive proper training? Create a process and assign tasks to people. The overall quality of the software will be improved, at the expense of a little more time spent in going live. The tradeoff is worth every single penny.
    Galaxia presents an universe of possibilities, limited solely by your imagination. Regards,
