Log in problems for new users (LDAP)
I am the proud 'owner' of a tikiwiki database for several years now. We had absolutely no issues until recently when we added new users.
Some configuration info:
- We use LDAP as our authentication mechanism.
- Everybody has read access to all pages. Registered users also have write access.
- nothing fancy installed, just basic functionality
- the tikiwiki is deployed on a linux machine
The problem:
whenever a new user tries to log in using his LDAP account, it seems to fail. The database however shows he's logged in, yet he doesn't get the 'multiple' tabs you see as a registered user (edit/remove/rename/lock/perms/history/similar/export) for every page.
Everybody uses the LDAP to authenticate, existing users as well as new users. It's only with the new users that we have issues.
We use other applications to verify the correctness of the userid/password combination and I can assure that they are correct! I suspect the problem is somewhere after the LDAP authentication since the user is flagged as logged in. The problem occurs as well on IE as on firefox.
Could someone give a hint of where I should start to look? Or enable some kind of debugging trace?
Regards,
Marc.
