    I'm not sure what you mean by "de-activate the wiki"... do you simply want to make it view-only? If so, just remove all the edit permissions from all the groups (except the admin, of course).

    - those tiny holes that get discovered in the course of time and fixed via the updates..?

    i am not an admin
    but i thought "older" software versions are the main security threat, aren´t they?
