    • Can't get PEAR to work at all in 2.0...

    Hey there, I just upgraded to 2.0, and I thought I'd try to get PEAR LDAP authentication working. I have set all proper settings in the Login Features section, but PEAR will not work correctly. I am even running TCPDUMP on my tikiwiki server and I don't see any activity going to my LDAP server!


    phpinfo.php says that LDAP is configured....

    ldap
    LDAP Support enabled

    I'm confused as to why PEAR isn't even trying a connection....

    I do have 2.0 working with OpenLDAP just fine. Any chance we can see your settings?

    (FWIW, I spent a good 2 hours trying to make this work as it took minute attention to detail (which I;m not often good at!)

    I'm kinda a PHP noob, so bear with me. Phpinfo.php lists the info above, which is great, but I have no idea how or why OpenLDAP is listed as the module. All I know is that I'm not seeing our TikiWiki even trying to talk to our LDAP server, no packets at all. Could this PHP setting be the cause? Should it say PEAR in place of OpenLDAP?

    Ultimately it shouldn't matter which module we use since we have several options for LDAP servers: we use both Active Directory and eDirectory from Novell.

    So what settings would you like to see?

    Can you take a screen shot of the Tiki Pear settings on the admin page?

    Hi Greg, attached is a screenshot of our PEAR settings. But like I said, I don't even see any packets attempting to contact our LDAP server over the network. Any thoughts? Thanks for the help! Russ
