Problem with 2.1 - Error while saving a wiki page - SOLVED

Hi,

I've running the newest version 2.1 and get always, when I try to edit and save a wiki page the error (on a blank browser page):

The requested URL /.../HomePage&saved_msg=y was not found on this server.

Has anyone else a problem like this?

And any idea, what to do/change ... ?

I tried to check all, files, database settings, cleared the caches and get no errors while running the tiki-install.php.

I have this problem in each way, I get to the 2.1 version:

  • made a really new installation and
  • upgraded from 2.0.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Rontu

I have seen this before and the problem seems to stem from the "&saved_msg=y" portion of the URL. I'm wondering if this is an AJAX problem.

Try disabling AJAX (under experimental features) and see if the problem goes away. If you already have AJAX disabled then you can probably ignore everything I said. lol

Unhappily I had AJAX not enabled - but thanks for the idea, would have been so easy wink

I now reinstalled the 2.0 version, could not work with this problem, even knowing, it's no solution.

Has no one with a running 2.1 version this problem, too question

Hi. I have justed started using 2.2 version.

I have noticed this problem on a number of installations, but a minority. today, I am actually looking for a solution.

I just noticed that, for me, AJAX on, is not the apparent problem.

But when I turn SEARCH ENGINE FRIENDLY URLS "on", tiki will not allow me to save the page.

I don't know much about htaccess, but I do know that it is installed, ad actually in a few different directories. I will investigate further, and possibly report back if I can. Hope this helps.

Part 2.

I seem to have found a solution for my problem. I went into .htaccess, to edit it, to get different results, as the page was not saving after I tried to add a new page, when I had SEARCH ENGINE FRIENDLY URLS "ON".

I removed the following section which my hosting company techie had told me to add, and the problem seems to have gone away.

''

  1. End of rewrite rules

suPHP_ConfigPath /home/toptenfi

order allow,deny

deny from all

''

Hopes this helps.

I have exactly the same problem!

My Tikiwiki was v2.0 when installed, recently upgraded to v2.2 by the official patch.

My settings:

AJAX enabled
SEF enabled
_htaccess in the Tikiwiki root folder had been renamed to .htaccess
Tikiwiki was installed in a subdirectory to www root: http://www.joomlagate.com/wiki/

I had read the Rewrite Rules page in the Tikiwiki official docs. That page says, if the Tikiwiki was installed in a subdirectory, we need another .htaccess file.

However, the code for that new .htaccess did not show up on that page, I saw Not Found error. Could you please give me some help?

Why I still have the Not Found error when saving a wiki page?

Such as:

Image
Copy to clipboard
Not Found The requested URL /wiki/Joomla!_1.5_Template_Tutorials_Project&bl=n was not found on this server.

I had renamed _htaccess to .htaccess.

Did I missed something?

Thanks.
