Need Help with LDAP Authentication to Active Directory

Hi,

I'm trying to enable LDAP Authentication in Tikiwiki 4.1
I made the settings as described here: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/LDAP+Authentication#LDAP_Authentication_in_Tiki_4.0
When I try the login I only get a blank page.
I activated the logging and in the tiki-syslog.php I can see:
Connect Host: ldap://HOST:389. Binddn: User@Domain.TLD at line 192 in C:\XAMPP\xampp\htdocs\tikiwiki\lib\auth\ldap.php
I tried the connect.php and get the message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function ldap_connect() in C:\XAMPP\xampp\htdocs\tikiwiki\connect.php on line 2

I'm using Win 2003 Standard with XAMPP 1.7.3 (Apache 2.2.14, PHP 5.3.1, MySQL 5.1.41) and installed it like desribed here: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Install+Tiki+on+XAMPP

It seems, that the ldap connect can not be called. Do I need something else installed?

Ireland

solved just changing the configuration (without the patch):

CN=stage,CN=Users,dc=LDAP,dc=MYDOM,dc=MYEXT -> KO

dc=MYDOM,dc=MYEXT -> OK

Thanks !

Hi,

can you explain me where you did this change. I didn't understand you.

United States

@nuely,

Can you post your LDAP config here (plz obscure real domain info)?
I believe @gervasio change the baseDn or userDN

Hi,

I'm using 4.2 now.

My settings are:

LDAP Bind Type: Active Directory
Base DN: dc=nuely,dc=local
User DN: cn=users
User attribute: sAMAccountName
User OC: user
Realname attribute: displayName
E-Mail attribute: userPrincipalName
Group DN: (empty)
Group attribute: cn
Group OC: group
Member attribute: member
Member is DN: yes
Admin user: test
Admin password: test

Hi gmartin,

have you already found something?

Hi,

has anyone found out anything now? We now use 5.1 and the problem is still the same!

Nuely,
dont know if you still need the help,

but had the same issue with same xampp setup.

i had to enable php_ldap.dll in the apache php.ini file.

that got me past the error.

my issue now is that when i goto the main page i get an error
"Permission denied. You cannot view this page"

if i look in the backend, my user has been created though...

Ideas?
im guessing user mapping in the user and group dn settings inside the ldap settings page.

will keep working on it and post if i have any breakthrough.

Thanks.

I changed the settings. Here it works now.

@TCC_WEB

Did you assign permissions for the new users/groups synced from AD?
I had this one on my first login with AD account and disabled view for anonymous/registered.

birkes,

found my issue lies somewhere in that i told the site to be closed unless they had been authenticated. removed this setting and it logs me in etc.

re the permissions, found that little bit in the documentation after posting last.

i assigned the staff user to a group called staff, and logged in via a student login and assigned that login to students group.

am yet to see if subsequent staff logins are put into the same group.

Tried it on tikiwiki6 beta 1: I had to enable extension=php_ldap.dll in c:\xampp\php\php.ini. Running xampp 1.7.3 on win xp sp3. See my guide here!
