New user registration fails


Hello Experts,
On my tiki site when a new user tries to register he gets a message "A valid email is mandatory to register", even when a valid e-mail is provided.

But when I check the user through admin I can see that the user has been created.

What could be the problem? How do I fix this?

Why Register?

Register at tiki.org and you'll be able to use the account at any *.tiki.org site, thanks to the InterTiki feature. A valid email address is required to receive site notifications and occasional newsletters. You can opt out of these items at any time.
