{toc} Alpha Sort?

Is there a way to get the output of {toc] to display in alphabetical order?

Right now we're manually sorting them in the Structure Layout but with the number of pages growing rapidly this is becoming extremely time consuming.

Or if there's another way to approach this please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

I'm curious... what's your use case? An alphabetized table of contents is no longer useful as a table of contents.... are you trying to make subject index?

If you simply want to list all your pages (or set of pages, based on category, etc.), there are much easier ways:

Yes, I suppose I am trying to make a subject index as you point out. I did look into the two plugins you've listed. But the reason I would like to stick with the using the structure layout is because then I get the automatically generated breadcrumbs, which are very handy for our users. And also the structure layout makes it very easy to add pages to each section and keep everything organised.
