    When upgrading an old tiki from 2.x to 12.x, the application menu module disappeared. I can see a vestigial version in the modules list of the left menu, but cannot get it to display. In addition, there is no option to add this module from the dropdown list.

    This application menu is kind of essential for admin of the tiki. Any idea about what happened? (Probably a change in the way this module is displayed/generated.) Is there a way to manually fix this?

    I don't recall having this problem migrating another tiki from 5.x.

    What did the application module have in it? I am not understanding what it was, sorry. If you could elaborate a tad, I think I know what may be going on.

    From 2.x to 12.x is a huge jump. There were many architectural changes. I suggest reviewing all the release notes to see exactly what changed.

    You can easily re-add the full application menu to new module, then assign the new module to your Tiki.
