Per Page Layout (Hide Modules)

United States

Dear folks, I would like to know if there is a way to hide sidebar modules on a per page basis. For example, I would like to have a full page map, at http://thepatriotwoodwiki.org/Geolocated+Wiki+Pages
In order to do so, I need to hide the sidebar modules. Is there a way to exclude modules per page?
Thank you

Hi John,

There's a module parameter to do this, for individual modules. This may be the easiest method. For each module you want to hide, on tiki-admin_modules.php, under the "Visibility" tab, add the page name in the "No page" input box.

Alternatively, maybe you could use the method described here: https://themes.tiki.org/Liquid-width+section+in+page

That did the trick Gary! Nice looking map now! I did the "No page" feature. I'll take a look at Liquid Width as well.
Now, can I assign that same map page to be full width? Fully 100 percent from side to side, that page only?
Thanks a ton Gary

To get the full 100% width for the map, I think you'll need to use the method described on the themes site page. This method redefines the width of the container-class divs for this page. But unlike the Theme site example, I believe you wouldn't put a second container-class div in the full-width section since you don't want the map width constrained. By the way, if you do use this method, the module parameter changes that you already made will be redundant, since this method hides the side columns with CSS.

Thank you so much Gary, I am reading up on it now, thanks again sir!

Hi John,

besides the nopage module parameter mentioned by Gary there is also wiki-plugin AppFrame which allows to hide left and right modules on the page where it is used. See https://doc.tiki.org/PluginAppframe for more information.
