Is there a way to put text next to an image?

posts: 19 Netherlands

Hello, again... :-)

I honestly don't know how to accomplish this. Mind you, my WYSIWYG is not displaying all toolbars (why would it! hahaha) and perhaps that option is there somewhere. Can't seem to find any syntax to do just that so I'm here, asking for help. Please, has anyone done this? Would you share example code (syntax)?

All I need is to be able to have an image and some text going next to it at the centre of the image height. In MS Word or any other text editor you would have options to wrap text in a variety of ways. Here I can see none.

help if you can

Thanking you!

Hi,

There is documentation about PluginImg here: https://doc.tiki.org/PluginImg, which includes info on aligning the image relative to text. This is assuming you use the plugin itself or wiki syntax. I'm not sure offhand how it is done with the WYSIWYG editor apart from using the image plugin or wiki syntax.

Hi,

Thank you very much for this.
I did have a look at the page you are referring to some time ago when trying to find some syntax for aligning things to the right and yes, I did miss the part where it says that the "align" code also makes the image "float".
... so now SUCCESS. I put this in:

{img fileId="2" imalign="left"}

where "2" is the image file Id from my file gallery and... the image stays on the left hand side as it should and also has the text wrapping up from the right hand side. Exactly what was needed!

Thank you again!
