tracker_as_calendar not showing all tracker items

When importing tracker items, not all of them show up on the calendar even though they imported with no errors and are visible under the tracker.

Steps:
- Import csv file with date format using UNIX timestamp, character encoding using UTF-8. No reported errors.
- Verify all items in the tracker and show correct information in the fields (Start Date, End Date, Summary, Description, Status (Open)
- Wait for items to become visible in the calendar

Questions:
- Why would some items become visible and other items not. (e.g. We have 3 trackers for 12/09/2018. Only one might become visible even after several days). If I manually create on the calendar, it works. If I create under trackers, it may or may not get picked up.
- What is the background process that runs to make trackers become visible in the calendar? There appears to be a delay (hours) after I import (~100 trackers) before they are populated to the calendar.
- Can the calendar process be manually run so I can control when it starts/ends? If so, what is the command?
- Are there log files that might show errors in the display on calendar process? If yes, where are they located. I have checked via the browser, database as well as the file system and can't find the appropriate location.
