How to remove Category module from sidebar?

Using Tiki 24.2.

Long ago, I assigned the Categories module to the “Right” position. Now I want to remove it.

How?

Although the instructions at the top of tiki-admin_modules.php mention dragging modules around to reorder and dragging them form “All Modules” tab to add them, I can't get dragging and dropping anything to work.

In any case, what I’m interested in is removing a module, not adding it. But I can't find any instructions about that.

Thanks!

Hi Jim,

You can remove a module by using the interface in the center of the admin modules page. In the tab set, the left tab is labelled "Assigned modules". (This tab is usually open by default.) then below that within that tab pane) there is another tab set where each module zone has a tab, so click the "Right" tab. Then you'll see a list of the modules assigned to the Right module zone. Find the module you want to remove ("Categories" in your case) and click the Actions icon (wrench/spanner). In the popup you can see the "Delete" item and icon, which you can click to deactivate the module.

Thanks, Gary!

That’s what I would have expected. However, when I click on the Actions icon, I see only “Edit” as the available choice. (See screenshot.)

My screenshot seemed not to make it. Trying again…
