Tiki Releases 9.0
-
Some of these new features include:
- Improved batch actions based on a URL with a token access.
- Extensive improvements to the Maps, Slideshow, Calendar, File Gallery and Drawings
- New plugins and modules
- Introduction of Timesheet functionality
- The Smarty template engine was updated to 3.1.x
- and much more!

As is the tradition in the Tiki community, most of the *.tiki.org sites have been upgraded to 9.x before it was officially released. This helps find and fix bugs. Please see: tw:Dogfood.
The release of Tiki 9.0 marks the close of the Tiki 8.x branch. All Tiki Administrators using an 8.x version are encouraged to upgrade to Tiki 9.0. Tiki 9.x is a LTS (Long Term Support) version, and it will be supported until November 2015.
The Tiki community has also decided to extend long term support (LTS) for Tiki 6.x support until May 2014.

The Tiki 9.0 Beta is Here
-The Beta release of the next generation of Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware is now available. The Tiki 9.0 Beta includes many new features and functionality, including:
- Improved batch actions, cron jobs, and token access
- Multiple improvements to calendars, file galleries, maps, and other Tiki features
- Several new plugins
- Improved security and spam protection
Review the Tiki documentation for details on what's new in Tiki 9.
Tiki Community members are encouraged to download and explore this new release. Issues and suggestions should be reported on the Tiki Developer site. Tiki Administrators are reminded that this release should not be used in production environments.

The Tiki Admin Team Welcomes New Members
-The Tiki Admin Team is proud to announce the nominations of three new members: Rodrigo Primo, Jean-Marc Libs, and Jean-François Bilger. All three are active members of the Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware project and have contributed countless hours to the ongoing development of Tiki. As members of the Tiki Admin Team, they will continue to help shape the future of Tiki.
Tiki Passes 1 Million Downloads
-On May 11th 2012, the Tiki community offers a special warm welcome to the 1,000,000th downloader of Tiki, the Free / Libre / Open Source Web Application with the most built-in features!
Tiki Releases 8.4
-The Tiki Community is proud to announce the release of Tiki 8.4. This release, with more than 150 code contribution by eight Tiki Community members, includes several fixes and updates.
Among the new features are:
- Several new, detailed user permissions
- Support for stateful SOAP sessions
- UI enhancements

This is the last planned release of the Tiki 8.x branch. Tiki Administrators using the 8.x version are encouraged to upgrade to this latest release, and then to Tiki 9.0 when it become available.

Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware Updates Tiki 6.7 LTS
-The Tiki Community is proud to announce the release of Tiki 6.7 LTS (Long Term support Version). This release includes bug fixes and updates only — there are no new features in this release.

Tiki reaches 500 contributors with commit access
-Passing yet another milestone, the Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware project welcomed its 500th contributor with commit access to the code base, on March 5th, 2012!
Next Tiki Webinar to Highlight Recently Updated Tiki 8 Features

Long-time Tiki Community members and contributors from Citadel Rock Online Communities Inc. will show a newly developed Tiki site that takes advantage of several features introduced in Tiki 8 including the Unified Search and advanced Tracker techniques.
