You can begin from scratch or from one tiki theme you like.
If you decide to begin by copying one.
As your template is a 2 columns templates, it will not be to hard to build a tiki template. A lot of tiki templates are messy with the central column with IE.(the box model problem is not generally used).
You have a dynamic font size , it can be tricky as all the tiki templates aren't dynamic.

PS: tikipro has a better template implementation but the soft is not so advanced than tikiwiki.
