Oh right. There used to be online template editing. I think the best way now is to have a local copy of your Tiki files, at least the template files that you want to modify. Make the changes you want and them upload them with an FTP client. Do you have ftp access to your site?
I have local mirrors of each of my web sites, and also local copies of the unmodified Tiki files. If I screw something up with a template, it's easy enough to replace it with the original one again. I have my browser pointed at the site, my FTP client connected, and my text editor open (plus graphics program sometimes and maybe a stylesheet editor). Then I make changes locally, upload and test, make changes and upload again, etc. If I'm making radical theme changes, of course I do it with a theme that is not the site's default, so no one sees the weirdness except for me.
