    Have tried to enable challenge/response at the both candidate 4 and R1.7 formal releases. Both doesn't work (invalid password afterwards for both old IDs and the new registered). Tested on IE6 and Mozilla1.4.

    So, is there further installation steps that I need to go thru?

    I had the same problem, could not get it to work, I think the Hash is wrong when its written to the MySQL database. I was not able to find a work around. I hope you do, let us know if you get it working.
