Re: MySQL 4.1 breaks production site, advice?
I too was forced to go to MySQL 4.1.x because of factors beyond my control. However I've been running 1.9RC3.1 for as long as it's been out without too many issues or problems on a semi-production intranet site.
My environment
- dual Opteron 4GB RAM server with Debian (2.4.28)
- Appro 2128Hs-81 server
- PHP version 4.3.9
- './configure' '
with-apxs=/usr/apache/bin/apxs' 'with-regex=system' 'enable-sysvshm' 'enable-track-vars' 'enable-trans-sid' 'enable-shmop' 'enable-sockets' 'with-mysql' 'with-zlib' 'with-gd' 'with-ldap=/usr/local/openldap' 'with-mm' '--with-sigchild' - php.ini
- post_max_size: 500M
- upload_max_filesize: 500M
- memory_limit: 16M
- apache 1.3.33
- gd 2.0.28
- mysql 4.1
- zlib 1.1.4
- tiki 1.9RC3.1 (upgraded from 1.8.4)
- all uploaded files stored in a directory outside the tiki directory
- ../tikifiles/file-gallery-files/
- ../tikifiles/forum-attachments/
- ../tikifiles/image-gallery-files/
- ../tikifiles/tracker-files/
- ../tikifiles/user-files/
- ../tikifiles/wiki-attachments/
- with an index.php in each directory to bounce browsers back to the tiki home page
- write privileges to the apache user on all directories
- './configure' '
The occasional relatively minor issue - but three different tiki's running on one intranet site.
The main thing at the moment is that image uploads to the image galleries appears to be broken - worked under 1.8.4 fine. When you upload an image it just takes you to a blank page and the upload did not succeed.
Other than that the sites seem to run just fine.
