Links to anchors in wiki pages?

Is it possible to link to anchors within a wiki page?

I'm thinking of something like
Copy to clipboard
((PageName#Heading))
that should link to the anchor placed at some !Heading (or possibly an
Copy to clipboard
{ANCHOR(Heading)}{ANCHOR}
) in the wiki page PageName.

Currently, it seems that anchors are produced, but only with numbers created on the fly, rendering them useless for interpage linking.

Yes, I'd like to know the answer to this as well. It would be great to be able to create a link that would go to a particular spot on a page, and not just to the top of any page.question

THIS is a wiki external link that will take you to an anchor at the bottom of a wiki page on TikiMODS.com. I used the PluginA to put that anchor on the page. (You can go to that page and download the plugin for free.)

Here is the wiki external link I used for the above link:

Using the PluginA to make an anchor on a wiki page, you can then link to the anchor using external links on any wiki pages from your own site or from any other wiki site. You can use the anchor just as you would any anchor created from HTML.

In addition, if you have HTML enabled on your wiki, or if you want to link to the anchor from even a non-wiki web page, then a regular HTML link can be used to get to the anchor as well, i.e.:

I just updated the PluginA, adding a new parameter: page= so you can easily make links to an anchor from another wiki page on the same site.

Some demonstrations of the plugin with the new page= parameter can be seen at PluginA-Examples.

I visited the Tikimod site and it is wonderful that you put up this site!! However, when I try to download the plugin, it says the site is not available. What could be the reason?? Thanks a million for the answer.

Hi Colorado, I still cannot download the files in the Gallery. The moment I right-click to save, an error windows pops up displaying that the site is not opened. The only file that I can download is the "Tiki CVS Version Wiki Plugins". Any idea why?? :o)

Hi Colorado,

I have tried but still no success.....Login and logout does not make any difference. Tried downloading from the Freebies Gallery - no success. Tried downloading directly from the pages - no luck. sigh...cry

I have put the error message display for your reference...hope it can help you diagnose what exactly is the problem.

Internet Explorer cannot download tiki-download-file.php?fileId=8 from tikimods.com. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

I'm wondering whether I am the only one that is having this problem???

Hi kwow,

I am pleased at your persistence to get to the TikiMODS.com downloads!

I googled your error message, and got lots of results. Go check them out!

(It looks to me like the problem relates to temporary files being stored by IE.)
