Re: sub galleries don't make sense

This is how it's set up. The list is flat, not hierarchical. I agree that it'd be more appropriate to list subgalleries under their parent gallery as in an outline. Maybe a request should be filed for this feature enhancement. In the meantime, maybe a workaround would be to try to give subgalleries names that will come after the parent gallery's name in the list. (They are listed alphabetically.)

This is odd. At my site, when I look at a gallery in thumbnail view, I see only the thumbnails of that gallery, along with one thumbnail for the subgallery. I don't see any other thumbnail images of the subgallery. In list view, I see only the images of the gallery, and none from the subgallery. This is with Tiki 1.9.0.

Right.

This seems to be the case at my site. The thumbnail of the subgallery is shown first, then the image thumbs of the parent gallery.

Do you mean the list view within a gallery? This is how it works for me: only the images in the parent gallery are listed.

This would be a good feature, although you can go to the gallery list to add a subgallery to a gallery, right?

Are you using 1.9.0 or 1.9.1 now? With 1.9.0, my experience is different from your description, so if your version is older than that, it looks like an upgrade would solve at least some of those problems.
