blank page even after upgrade to 1.9.1

My production 1.8 site was humming along just fine, then somebody calls me and says that it is not responding. I get the dreaded "blank page" problem with no errors to be found anywhere. I worked on it for over a week to no avail.

I just upgraded to 1.9.1, running the conversion scripts and such, and I STILL get the blank page problem!!!!!

To my knowledge, NOTHING changed prior to this problem showing up.

I'm not sure at this point whether to put my fist thru the monitor or curl up in the corner and start crying.

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!! sad

Many Thanks,
Steve Maring

I have a very similar experience. Everything was fine while I had 1.8.6 version. After upgrade to 1.9.3.1, I constantly have issues with blank pages and no error messages anywhere. Upgrade 1.9.4 didn't improve anything. It typically takes 2 to 3 refreshes to get the page. For any production site this would be a mission critical problem.

Changing php memory_limit to 16M resolved the issue. Check install docs for recommended PHP settings.
