Articles are the way to publish news, etc., but they aren't especially interactive. If you just need to advertize job openings, then Articles would work; you could make a Jobs topic (Tiki's term for news category), which would give all the Jobs announcements their own topic icon, and would enable displaying all the jobs articles in one page if you want to do that. Same for Partners, etc.

I saw a cool jobs notice module just released for Mambo. This is the kind of thing that Tiki's Trackers are aimed at — custom input and retrieval of data — but I'm not sure if they are at this level yet.
