    Do you have effectivly the perms: tiki_p_read_article ..... Perhaps something went wrong at install
    admin->groups->the key)

    Clear your 3 caches (admin->system admin)

    Check your menu perms admin->menu-> menu42, the articles section must have the right perm tiki_p_read
