With logins, searches, etc. shared? I don't know about that. Bitweaver (a fork of Tiki) is supposed to have easier integration of outside scripts such as galleries, so you might want to check that out.

See an example of Gallery displayed in an iframe in a Tiki wiki page here. Both Tiki and Gallery are unmodified.

This is Tiki's mechanism for avoiding images-not-found on other servers. I think there might be a setting to turn off external image caching if you don't want it.

I haven't experienced this; generally have no trouble with more than one image in an article. Can you give more details (what img URLS are being used, Tiki version, etc.)?
