Re: Can anonymous visitors view a blog?

On the Admin Groups page (tiki-admingroups.php), click on the key icon for the Anonymous group. Then (on the page that shows next — tiki-assignpermission.php?group=Anonymous) assign the permission tiki_p_read_blog to the group. Repeat this procedure for any permission you want to give to unregistered visitors. Similarly, you give permissions to Registered users this way by clicking on that group's key icon on the Admin Groups page.

This is the procedure for giving the various groups permissions, which apply generally to all blogs, all wiki pages, etc.

Well, it's 2010 now and I'm running Tikiwiki5.1 on a Linux server (commercial host) and I have the same problem. Except I've followed the advice above; I've even unchecked "Can read blogs (tiki_p_read_blog)" and assigned that and then rechecked it and reassigned the now checked permission "Can read blogs (tiki_p_read_blog)". Anonymous still can't read the blog.

The only thing I can think of is that this blog is a permanent archive from 2007 and maybe it has somehow aged out. But I don't see how to change that either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oh. The URL in question is http://www.progressiveomaha.com/tikidir/tiki-view_blog.php?blogId=2
