Forum Mailin

I'm using the Add messages from this email to the forum option for one of my forums. Everything works, but each email is generating two items in the forum:

  1. A forum thread that simply says
    Use this thread to discuss the [email subject]
    and includes alink to a non-existent wiki page (named for the email subject)
  2. A reply the thread that includes the email.


I don't want both items. I want the forum thread to include the full text of the email — not a link to a wiki page. What do I have misconfigured?

I think you should go to Admin Wiki and uncheck "Discuss pages on forums" or choose a different forum for wiki discussion. That is because I think the two features are incompatible, "Discuss pages on forums" and "Add messages from email".

Thanks, but the Discuss pages on forums option is not selected. Just to clarify, I'm using the mailin to create a forum posting — not a wiki page.
