Here's something to check: On the Admin Wiki page (tiki-admin.php?page=wiki), at the bottom of the left column, under "HTML in wiki pages", be sure that "Wiki syntax used when a page contains HTML" is set to full. If it is set to none or partial, I get results like yours.
