Backporting wouldn't be too difficult.... If you don't want to wait for 1.10:
- Convert the PNG Silk Icons to GIF
- Rename the Silk Icon to match the exiting Tiki image name.
- Simply replace the existing Tiki images with the new Silk PNG/GIF images
This way you don't have to mess with any templates.
