Re: glossary - if the wiki is "the wiki", what do I call my entire tikiwiki site (including blogs...)?
I don't think there's a good solution to this problem until your site is reorganized. Users should only see things according to function, "the wiki," "the forums," "the blogs" and so on. They don't want to think about or try distinguish things on a "brand" or software level. They don't know what "Tiki" is or how it's different from the rest of the site, apart from visual differences and the log-in, nor should they have to.
But given that there is duplication of features (not only a phpBB forum but also Tiki's forum), it makes it pretty hard to refer to things in terms of function or feature, which leaves reference by "brand" as the only alternative in the current organization of your site.
My recommendation would be to try to consolidate as much of this content as possible within one system (well, naturally Tiki, but there are other combinations people use so it could be something else), which would eliminate the naming problems pretty much. Actually I don't see anything in the non-Tiki parts of the site that wouldn't fit nicely within the Tiki framework. Since Tiki is comprehensive, I suggest you make it the core of the site and then, if necessary, refer to any special-purpose software/feature by it's "brand" name.
