Re: Cut and Paste does not keep formatting

Are you cutting and pasting the text of the normal page (that is, not the text in the editpage text area that includes formatting code)? If so, the formatting won't be preserved. This is the expected behavior for copying/pasting web page text, as far as I know, and not particularly a Tiki deficiency (unless you load the page as an HTML document in an editor, of course; then the editor is aware of the formatting).

To retain the formatting and links, etc., you would have to copy either the wiki source (what's input on tiki-editpage) or the source code of the completed html page (as in your browser's "view page source". Of course in the first case you'll have Tiki's wiki syntax which would have to be converted to work in Drupal I guess (assuming here the Tiki documents use wiki syntax rather than HTML; also, does Drupal support wiki syntax, or is it strictly HTML?) or you'll have HTML code, which can be pasted into Drupal if that's how documents in Drupal are created.

I think Tiki is fine as personal web document software, although it's probably overkill in that role since probably many features wouldn't be used. But if you have the server space, unused files aren't a problem, and you would have the option to turn anything on that you might want to use in the future, such as sharing images with others or whatever. But Tiki is a large, multi-featured box of tools, and there's always the possibility that a narrow-focus specialized tool might do a particular job better. I don't know what the options are to meet your needs in particular, though. Certainly there are lighter-weight specialized document and bookmark tools and so on.
