Actually that "discuss" link, although displayed on a wiki page, starts a new forum thread whose first message has the content "Use this thread to discuss the page:: PluginSQL" (for instance). See this example at the doc.tw.o forum. So if you are seeing the same kind of initial posts, it seems the mechanism used by the wiki page "discuss" link is apparently also triggered by the forum mail-in, for some reason. What Tiki version are you using? A bug report should probably be filed at dev.tikiwiki.org.
