Re: Modify tiki-top content
The easiest way is to use the Site Identity feature and custom code textarea on the Site Identity (Tiki 1.9) or Look & Feel (Tiki 2) page. You can activate Logo, banner ad, horizontal menu and so on, and/or input HTML in the custom code textarea to have a customized page top.
The current docs on this are getting out of date. In older themes, activating Look & Feel options basically stacks things like logo and banner ad at the top of the page. In newer themes — Tikinewt, The News, Darkroom, Feb12, and updated themes ( Themes_for_TW2 ) — the page-top items are more kept in a rectangle to match the page background, etc. I want to try to get some doc pages written on this before long.
In any case, you can activate options, including using your own logo, or not turn on the options and instead add HTML in the custom code box to display what you want. Note that javascript and Flash code will be stripped out of custom code for (maybe over-zealous) security reasons. A Flash ad banner can be used in Tiki 2.0, though. For other JS/Flash possibilities, editing a template file may be necessary.
