Google Page Map Plugin - problem

Hi, I've installed the Google Page Map Plugin manually, it's pretty well explained how to do so.

However, the plugin doesn't produce a map at all. Gmap is working fine by the way.

The only thing the plugin does produce is < pre > and < /pre > around where I tried to call the plugin:

Image
Copy to clipboard
{GMAP(type=>page, width=>400, controller=>none, mode=>normal)/}

So it seems it does communicate.

Anyone an idea?

Thanks!

Lex,

Any luck figuring this out? Im having the same problem, where all I get are the tags but the gmaps script is missing. I have played around with almost everything I can think of, but curious if you have made any progress...

Has anyone else seen this?

Ryan

Yup, same problem here.
I have posted a comment on nuhets bug report.
Do the devs know about this problem and is there any plans on fixing it? looks like a really useful mod (main reason I installed tikiwiki was because of this mod!!!!)

Still no luck with this one, have been playing around with lots of settings. Shame its not easier to get some sort of console output for this problem

I am using TikiWiki 2.2 and I have installed Gmap Mod 1.3 and I had the same problem (only got pre and /pre). I have found some mistakes on files /templates/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin-gmap.tpl and /gmap_wikipluging_save.php. I have made some changes and now it works OK. I have not tested backlink nor route nor estructure but it seems tha corresponding .tpl files have the same problem (so, it you needs these features, make corresponding changes, test and inform here).
CHANGES THAT I HAVE MADE:
. on file /templates/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin-gmap.tpl change $feature_gmap, $gmap_key, $gmap_defaultx, $gmap_defaulty and $gmap_defaulty by $prefs.feature_gmap, $prefs.gmap_key, $prefs.gmap_defaultx, $prefs.gmap_defaulty, $prefs.gmap_defaulty (all occurrencies; intended values are in arrray prefs in _tpl_var, not directly in _tpl_var as program supposed); if you have put gmap tag on a wiki apge then you will see Google map on that wiki page.
. on file /gmap_wikipluging_save.php change $feature_gmap by $prefs‘feature_gmap’ (at beggining of file; similar reason that change in previous file): to have working 'Save current point' for new values for x and y on 'map and geotagging for this page +' option.

Thanks for this, just a couple questions:
Are you saying to do a find & replace as follows in wikiplugin-gmap.tpl:
find:
$feature_gmap
replace:
$prefs.feature_gmap

(same for the other variables you mention)
Then to do the following in the gmap_wikiplugin_save.php:
find:
$feature_gmap
replace:
$prefs.feature_gmap
?????

Could you possibly attach the two files you've modified biggrinbiggrin
thanks for sharing the solution tho biggrin

It's right for wikiplugin-gmap.tpl:
find: $feature_gmap replace: $prefs.feature_gmap
(and same for the other mentioned variables) and save

However for gmap_wikiplugin_save.php:
find: $feature_gmap replace: $prefs'feature_gmap' (feature_map here must be enclosed in square brackets, sorry but tikiwiki editor removes them and are not sown to you) and save

I just attach first file (I can not attach two at the same time). Remember what I have said for backlin, route or estructure.

Thanks for taking the time to post the solution to the gmap problem :-)

I've now managed to get gmap working for the basic type=>page

I can't get type=>backlinks working though. Have you solved this too?
