4.2 Calendar popup full of n's

Is anyone else seeing this behaviour on new installas of 4.2 or on a 4.2 upgrade to 4.1?

The record is good on the detail page, but the popup displays with no date and a series of "n" characters shot through it.

I've tried several installations of 4.2, and I've tried upgrading working (i.e. everything seems fine and the calendar popup is fine) 4.1 installations, both with SImple Scripts and by manually uploading and running the installer.

In every case, I wind up with a calendar popup similar to the one pictured above.

Can anyone verify that the Calendar popup actually WORKS for them?

Thanks, this is holding everything up.

Hmmm. Was that a fresh 4.2 installation, or a manual upgrade to a 4.1?

I've now tried manual upgrade, SimpleScripts installs and upgrades of a good 4.1, and just now I tried it from svn with a fresh database. I installed the community profile on that one. It all seemed to work. So then turned on calendar and...

Still have exactly the same problem. It makes me feel really stupid and useless.

freeman57, it's also showing rare to me (with these "n"). Something is wrong indeed with recent upgrade to latest 4.2 or 4.svn....

Good. Er, I mean I'm relieved I'm not alone ;-)

Ok. Just tried a new dedicated server (Ubuntu). Files from svn 4.x. Vanilla install, no profiles, just switched on Calendar. I made a calendar and an entry and got the identical 'n's' results with various settings i.e. sticky popup vs mouseover popup, options in or out of popup.

btw. I tried a Reply-to-selected-post post here and got the

error, so this is a Post-new-message post.

I am experiencing the same issue with respect to tracker field popups (see attached image).

There is one tracker item in the development site that alludes the the problem, but the fix is not well described - not with respect to trackers anyway tracker item 3069.

If anyone can tell me what exactly to remove from what tpl file to get rid of these messy-looking "n"'s, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I also would like to know how to get rid of the 'n's.

Has anyone come up with a fix for this problem? I upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2 and users are now seeing the n character in pop-ups.

Someone made mention of removing the spaces from tiki-calendar_box.tpl. To which spaces are you referring?

Thanks...

Hi,

Sorry for my bad English ;)

I had the same trouble when I upgrade from 3.6 to 4.3, and I fix it by "removing the spaces from tiki-calendar_box.tpl" as mentionned above.

I removed all the newlines in the file and I made them between attributes in the HTML tags.
