You can go to http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Search Bugs and click "filter" to see a "classic" example of trackers.
At reaxmusic.com, trackers are used for inputting and storing data on bands, venues, (Florida) community events and so on. This page - http://reaxmusic.com/skipper's%20smokehouse - is an example of how the tracker information is displayed using a "pretty tracker" method (a template holding tracker variables is made with a wiki page).
