Using File Galleries to store uploads

Perhaps I'm missing something, but if I enable the option to "Use File Galleries to store pictures" ("features" tab) on tiki-admin.php?page=wiki page, how do I determine which file gallery will be used? And is this only for images? What about other files? (I'm guessing that this is where the "home file gallery" comes into play, if so, is this the only use of the default gallery because then it would change what choice I would make for the home gallery).

If I enable a similar option under "Community", the "Store full-size copy of avatar in file gallery" ("General Settings" tab), then I have the choice of which gallery ID to use. I would have thought the Wiki feature would have a similar gallery ID option.

Any thoughts?

Why don't you do test, upload an image file when editing a wiki page and see what gallery it goes into? There used to be something called the "system gallery," maybe with Id=0, and it was used as a default gallery for things like this. I'm not sure if it's still the case.
