Using Tiki FAQ feature - operational details needed

I'd like to use the Tiki FAQ feature to reduce user traffic on an email reflector seeing the same questions posted over and over again. I have about a dozen FAQs and anywhere from 10 to 50 questions/answers within each. The user community is already configured into Admins, Authors, and registered Users, so FAQ permissions align well with this group administering, creating/editing, and commenting in a Tiki FAQ. This seemed to exactly suit my needs. BUT...

Two questions arose:

1. In the FAq list, there is a column for number of Visits, and a column of number of Questions with a (0) after the number. What does the (0) represent? How do I use it useful or make it go away?

2. If/when Users post comments, the comment is not displayed adjacent to the question, nor is there an indication that a comment even exists. All comments are displayed chronologically at the bottom of the list of all questions, with no link/reference to the question to which they apply. Obviously, in a page of 50 questions, nobody will ever find that comment to Question #1 at the bottom. Furthermore, IF they do find the comments, they will not get value from comments listed independently of their questions. Am I missing something here? Or is this really how it should work?

Just a quick cautionary note; the FAQ feature is earmarked to be removed from Tiki I believe, so I wouldn't look at getting too attached to it if I were you.

For a more complex FAQ that you require (where relationships between comments and questions are important) then perhaps a custom Tracker might fit the bill. Otherwise I'd simply recommend putting your FAQs into Wiki page/s.

Good advice! Thanks

Actually, this Forum architecture is the second-closest to meeting my needs. A Forum List -> Topic list -> nested Replies should be able to masquerade as an interactive FAQ.

Thanks again.

I did think about forums, there are some features of them that I've not really explored such as I think the option is "treat all replies as replies to the original post" or something like that. I think you might even be able to have single post threads and all comments.

So yes, it seems like forums might also fit the bill and possibly less complicated than using Trackers.

This indicates the number of questions suggested by visitors but not yet included in the formal FAQ.

The comments are for the the FAQ page — not a particular questions.

Thanks, Rick.

Yes, your reply is helpful. It confirms that the architecture/implementation of FAQs does not meet my needs. My experiments with Forums as a substitute have been successful - looks like I will do "Interactive FAQs" on Forums.
