Ah, ok, I tested changing the user's password and had the same problem - it didn't get changed. I also thought it was weird to get the "confirm your action" message just accessing the user's information before I changed anything. Do you want to submit a bug report at dev.tiki.org?
I've seen the blinking in the past especially in Firefox when the Firebug add-on is installed. Do you have anything on the page that uses extra Javascript, like the Sharethis plugin? That could also be a factor. Or have you noticed blinking on the same kind of page that didn't have it in an earlier Tiki version?
