As I understand it, you want to use your image for the background of the header area, not just insert it as a logo. That's why I gave instructions about replacing the existing header-top background image. It's the header-top div's background that we're dealing with, not the logo, which displays on top of the background, and has padding to separate it from the div's borders. Please see my instructions again.
