Are you sure you are using the correct method to have translations of articles? In my test, I made two articles, one of them having English specified as its language, and the other one French specified. At a url like tiki-edit_translation.php?id=1&type=article (which I reached after clicking the translation icon, I indicated that one was the translation of the other. This apparently works correctly. Depending on which language I select as a site visitor, one or the other appears at tiki-view_articles.php. No new wiki pages appear, because wiki editing is not involved at all.
