My name is Daniel. I'm a newbie too. I've been learning about Tiki for the past year.

What you say you want to do is quite simple to do. so the answer to all of your questions is yes.

In regards to Dreamweaver, I don't think you will need to connect it as Tiki uses it's own syntax. I do, on my site have some HTML based pages using pluggins. And in general, it is better to use the Tiki wiki syntax.
