Version errors - Is 5.3 newer than 6.1??

I have two TikiWiki installs running 6.1. When I log in, I get the following error messages (in Admin>General):

Install 1: "A new version of Tiki, 5.3, is available. You are currently running 6.1. Please visit tiki.org/Download."

Install 2: "Information Current version is up to date : 6.1"

1) I can't figure out why they would be different, as they are set up identically (two different courses, set up the same semester with the same settings).

2) I can't figure out why 5.3 is considered newer than 6.1 (and only for one install)

3) Why do neither give me the option of upgrading to 6.2?

Apparently there is a bug in the upgrade check code. Version 5.3 is older than version 6.1. You have the option to upgrade to 6.2 no matter what the message says.

Does the problem on install 1 continue after using "Check for updates now." in the General panel?

It did have the odd error message even after clicking the "check for updates now" button.

I've since manually upgraded to 6.2 and everything seems to be fine now.

I've got whatever the default logging is turned on. If there is something in there that would be useful, let me know how to get at it and I can send/post a copy.
