Hi,
Simple upgrade guidelines:
Backup current tiki folder and database
Extract new tiki folder into your current tikiroot UNLESS you are using 1.8, when I recommend you extract to a new location. (Some ADODB and smarty was moved)
re-run setup.sh or chmod to make sure the permissions are still good
run tiki-install.php, logon as admin and run the upgrade.sql's as needed
remove tiki-install.php
Done!
