Most of our communication is in the big english speaking context, like the english mailing lists, the IRC etc.
But it is handy to get known each other, being able to get s.b. on the phone if necessary or just in case, to be able to chat in German.
Another point is the easier possibility to meet each other at a TikiFest in Germany than far away across the ocean.
