Re: Cannot see images in Wiki page when the image source is URL

Hello xavi and thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my query.

I will check out the document you refer to.

Sorry I only half explained, let me clarify a little

sometimes I will be looking around the WEB and come across an article of interest on some web site. The article my be several pages long and contain several images.

Now in the past I would add the page to my favourites or copy and paste the article into a work document and save for latter reference.

However what I like to do is add the article to my personal wiki so over time as I will have more items from all over the web all in one easy to find place.

Now although I can add a URL link to the original article I would rather add to my wiki so I know I always have a copy if the original is not longer available in the future.

So no problem from the original article on the web I take a copy of the HTML source code (text tables images etc.) I then create a new page on my wiki use the code keyword and insert the html for the code and chose colours HTML for the code options and all works well e.g. every thing looks like it did on the original article except for the images e.g. I get place holders as above.

Now if I click on the place holder it takes to me to the original image no issues (e.g. the URL is behind the place holder). What I want to be able to do is "display" the image on my wiki page without having to download the image from the original source then upload to my image galley or (as you kindly pointed out) go through all the image URL's on my wiki page and change the URL to the Tiki syntax for an external image.

if I have no choice but to use this latter option is there an automated way to replace the URL to the original image with the syntax Tiki expects to reference said external image (as there can be quite a few of them).

Thank you again
Ernie
