Plugin Dialog, "body of plugin" and non-auto initiate

posts: 92
  1. What is the purpose of the "body of plugin". I don't see the text "Hello World" displayed anywhere on the page or in the dialog
  2. How do you initiate the dialog if autoOpen="n"? I would have guessed the "body of plugin" was a link or button text, but that is not the case (see above)

from https://doc.tiki.org/PluginDialog
{DIALOG(title="World hello Dialog!" buttons="Foo,Bar" actions="alert(\"foo clicked\"),alert(\"you cancelled\")" showAnim="blind" hideAnim="explode" autoOpen="y" modal="y" wiki="plugin dialog test body" openAction="testDialog(this);")}Hello World{DIALOG}

same question:

  1. How do you initiate the dialog if autoOpen="n"?
  2. What are the params for showAnim and hideAnim? (blind, explode .. are ther any more?)

Hi Bob

I'd forgotten about this one - needs updating to use bootstrap one day, but still seems to work just about.

These are still jQuery-UI dialogs so you need to refer to the API here: https://api.jqueryui.com/dialog/#method-open

So if the dialog is the first one on the page you could use this to open it:

$("#wpdialog_1").dialog( "open" );

And the options for the show and hide animations can be found here and the full list here

If you get this working and can add anything more to the doc page that would be great! cool
