wiki pages, 2 Categories, set visibility

Hey guys

We use tiki wiki 9.4 and we have like 2 categories of people in my department, IT-Specialist and SAP-Specialist.
They both create wiki pages, but the pages should only show up if you are in the right group oder category, because SAP topics doesn't interest the people of the IT.

So the question is, how can i seperate these 2 groups?
I already creates 2 groups but i cant figure out how can i easy set the page to show up for which groups...

Thanks in advanced.

Pretty easy to do:

First, create a user group for IT and SAP. Then simply modify the category permission for the IT-Specialist and SAP-Specialist categories so that their visible only to the appropriate group.

See the docs for details. You also might find my guide useful.

hey rick

thank you for your reply and the links, I've seen them before.

so if I get it right, i have to set the permission to every wiki page in the object permission of this site?
this is not so useful, is there an easier way?
what i don't understand is, how can i create a wiki page with native permission that only the SAP group see this site....

in the attachment are the 2 groups that i setup and thats the object permission view.

No. You would set the permission for the Category — not the individual wiki pages. Then, when you create a page and place it in the category, it will be visible only to the groups who can view the category. You need to understand the relationship between user groups (and their permissions) can categories (and their permissions).

If you want pages created by a specific group to automatically be in the category, you need to use the Quick Edit module to create the page. Please see the docs for details.

ou wow, now i think i got it.
I've seen that you can put the pages in a category as you told me.

I activated that for the users in the group to put things (wiki pages) in a category (which has the proper permission to the articel) and now it looks like a pretty good solution.

thank you so much rick.
