Note that 12.2 was recently released... maybe this has already been fixed?
You say you're on your "own server"... Apache? Windows? What PHP version?
I cannot duplicate your problem on any of my setups (which makes me think it is something specific to your environment). Did you run the Tiki Server Check?
Try logging a bug and attempting to duplicate the issue in a new Tiki instance.
